State of Trade Survey 2020 Q4

- 85% of heavy side firms reported that sales rose during the fourth quarter of 2020, the highest balance on record.
- On the light side, half of firms reported rising sales in Q4.
- Manufacturers’ expectations for sales in the year ahead in 2021 improved, with half of heavy side and 44% of light side firms anticipating an increase.
- Cost inflation continued in Q4, with the balances hitting a near two-year high, driven by raw materials.
