TRADA at Solid Wood Solutions
The Solid Wood Solutions conference and exhibition, which takes place on 5 July in the Oculus building at the University of Warwick, celebrates a new era in which engineered timber technology is one of the fastest-growing offsite methods of construction.
The event will consist of a bespoke exhibition of companies from within the CLT, LVL and glulam technology sectors, plus complementary solutions such as SIPS and cladding/fenestration solutions.
Come and meet the TRADA team on the stand and browse our selection of publications including free Wood Information Sheets, Case Studies and Learning Resources covering all aspects of timber design and build. TRADA's range of books, including: Cross-laminated timber: design and performance, a definitive guide to CLT; Structural timber elements: a pre-scheme design guide; and Timber frame construction will all be on display.
The conference programme features leading pioneers and innovators from the solid wood sector. Case studies, including the Warner Stand at Lords Cricket Ground; the multi-award-winning Macallan Distillery; and Maggie’s Oldham, the inspirational cancer treatment centre, will be presented by those who designed, engineered and developed them.
Robin Lancashire, Senior Timber Frame Consultant at TRADA, will be presenting on the subject of ‘Durability and Design for CLT’ at the event, discussing the need for consistent design principles to help construction professionals when specifying CLT.
