From boundary structures, pergolas to path edging, timber is probably the most used material in any garden or landscape.  The inclusion of timber into external spaces requires an appreciation of the species that are available and most suitable as well as how they should be detailed and jointed.


This 2-hour lecture will cover the main topics concerning the use and detailing of timber as well as specification.
