Training > Doors & windows > Fire Doors explained

Fire doors do more than just allow us to pass from one room to another - they are vital for saving lives and property in the event of a fire.

We have observed that witnessing a real fire resistance test dramatically increases people’s ability to understand and remember what they have been taught. We have, therefore, arranged this one-day event around watching a full-scale fire resistance test at our laboratories in High Wycombe. The day considers the design issues that make the difference between passing and failing and explains how to correctly install a fire door. It also explains how fire doors are tested, assessed or certified.
