Training > Furniture > Sustainable Timber Sourcing and Chain of Custody

Chain of Custody workshop

If you purchase or sell wood or timber based products you will be increasingly aware of the growing demand of your product to be procured from a proven sustainable source. More and more public funded bodies (including government departments), corporate companies and large retailers, including DIY outlets, are demanding wooden products from certified, well-managed forests in their specifications.

FIRA of offering training to assist companies in understanding what is required of them and how to implement a 'Chain of Custody ' system. The training will also detail the variety of systems and schemes currently available such as FSC and PEFC, the certification process, and some of the problems which may be encountered along the way. Whether you are a manufacturer, specifier or retailer this training will be invaluable for you to understand the implications of, and practical solutions to, Chain of Custody.

Bespoke training or workshops at your own factory or office can be arranged - just let us know your requirements.
