Background
Flame plasma treatment of polymers is a commonly used method of improving the adhesion of inks to these substrates. The prospect of using the process to improve the adhesion of surface coatings on wood provides the possibility of improving their performance on exterior wood components without costly reformulation.
Project Aim
To improve the adhesion and performance of surface coatings to wooden joinery using flame plasma treatment.
