BS EN 1634-1: 2000 is recognised as being more severe than its predecessor, BS 476-22: 1987. This report compares the performance of timber fire resisting doorsets under the two test methods to establish what aspects of door performance are affected. Pre-conceived theories are reviewed and analysed. Gives design guidance for modifications to current doorsets to maintain satisfactory performance under the new test regime.
