The results of research undertaken in 1997 - 9 to show how improvements could be made over the England and Wales Building Regulations 1991 acoustic requirements. Includes detail designs, specifications and test results for 11 floors which met an 'enhanced' target level and 6 floors which met a higher, 'enhanced +' level.

The 'standard' timber frame party wall easily met the 'enhanced +' level, without modification.
