Chiltern Dynamics also offers a U-Value simulation service, to enable door manufacturers to prove that their products meet the new thermal requirements of the Building Regulations (Part L)
Specifiers and end-users often require on-going high performance from doorsets in areas such as fire resistance, security and durability.
The Building Regulations and initiatives such as 'Secured By Design' place a very heavy emphasis on using independent product certification schemes as a means of ensuring that products meet the required standards.
BM TRADA (TRADA Technology's sister company) has therefore developed the following Q-Mark door certification schemes:
- Fire resistant doors and doorsets - manufacturers
- Fire resistant doorsets - installation
- Enhanced security doorsets (PAS 23 &24)
- High durability doorsets (currently under development)
Where certified products are made or installed by a member of TRADA, their details are listed in the suppliers directory
Where door products fail to live up to expectations, TRADA Technology’s consultants are able to perform a wide range of tests and analysis to understand the nature and causes of the problems experienced.
