The 'Spotlight' scheme aims to stamp out grading abuse and is exclusive to BM TRADA (TRADA Technology's sister company) clients. It aims to ensure that dry graded timber is actually dry (maximum 20% moisture content) at the time of grading and supplied as required by both building regulations and related grading standards.
Scheme members agree to unannounced visits by BM TRADA, to check the moisture content of their timber. Those registered will show the rest of the trade and their clients that they are confident of the quality of their timber and are happy to have it inspected at any time.
