BM TRADA is an accredited provider for the Europallet scheme. This is a Pan-European initiative which requires European pallet manufacturers to demonstrate that their pallets have been produced in accordance with UIC Code 435-2 "Standard of quality for a European flat pallet made of wood with four openings and measuring 800mm x 1200mm".
The Europallet scheme is widely specified throughout Europe because it demands:
- manufacturing to precise tolerances
- minimum standards in terms of the quality of material used in manufacture
Manufacturers in the scheme are subjected to regular third-party monitoring visits to assess manufactured quality.
