Activities
Training programmes were arranged and implemented for 8 engineers from the Chinese Institute for Wood Industry (CRIWI) in the following areas:
- Fire retardant treatment for wood based panels
- Treatment of water effluent from hardboard manufacturing plants
- R & D planning and management
- Testing of wood based panels and quality assurance programmes
- Forest products marketing
- A study tour was arranged and conducted for 5 senior CRIWI personnel, including the Director, in the UK and Ireland
