As part of the fire safety design requirements, many buildings require fire resistant building elements such as fire doors, screens, walls, floors etc.

The performance of these elements need to be proven through one or more of the following:

Chiltern Fire (TRADA Technology's sister company), which operates a UKAS-accredited fire test laboratory, has a team of fire consultants who can produce fire assessments based on agreed principles and resolutions of the Fire Test Studies Group.

These are written statements of opinion, from an expert with many years of fire testing experience, on the expected fire resistance performance of a building element. Our assessments are always supported by primary fire test data gathered when the product is tested.

For one-off or small batch production runs you may find it is economically more sensible to have a job-specific assessment rather than pay for a full-scale fire resistance test.

Please contact our assessment team for more information on assessments (see contacts details below).
