Book early - £100 tickets for first 100 delegates
 TRADA is offering a special rate of £100 for the first 100 delegates to book places at the 2010 In Touch with Timber event, to take place on 18 th May at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster. The fee thereafter will be £140.00 + VAT for TRADA members and £170.00 + VAT for non-members. For more information click here.
The exhibition of timber products and services is a key part of the event and much praised by delegates in the past. Sponsorship opportunities are being offered to members at discounted rates as follows: Lead sponsor, TRADA members, £2150 + VAT, non-members £2740 + VAT; Standard sponsors, TRADA members £1300 + VAT, non-members £1600 + VAT. This now annual conference is aimed at architects, engineers, specifiers and other construction industry professionals. Speakers include Andrew Waugh, Director, Waugh Thistleton Architects, on Using cross laminated timber to break new ground; Paul Fast, Principal, Fast and Epp Engineers, giving an insight into the Wood Wave roof system of the Richmond Oval; and Niall McLaughlin, Director, Niall McLaughlin Architects with Tim Lucas, Engineer, Price & Myers on the Structural Wood Award-winning Deal Pier & Cafe Bar. In addition architectural author and journalist Ruth Slavid will select favourite refurbishment case studies from a forthcoming TRADA publication.
The afternoon sessions are delivered in more of a workshop fashion, themed to enable delegates to pursue particular interests. Topics include:
