Building Product Design (Glidevale Ltd), market leader in ventilation, construction membranes and specialist building products, has achieved the BM TRADA Q-Mark for Construction Products, covering its breather membrane range.
Joint Managing Director Neil Rideout said, ‘The timber frame market requires breather membranes to be independently certified. When our product certification came up for renewal, it was logical to renew with BM TRADA, who have proved to be more efficient and therefore more cost-effective than our previous provider. BM TRADA are also far more responsive, reducing the lead time and effort required to bring certification to fruition.'
Cheshire-based BPD has its own development and testing facilities, which contribute to its BS EN ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for quality management systems, including design and development. Nevertheless, Mr Rideout added, ‘The BM TRADA Q-Mark gives our customers the added reassurance that our products have been independently tested and certified. With so many cheap inferior products coming in to the market, they can be confident that Glidevale products are fit for their intended purpose.'
