TRADA presents CPA industry forecasts to members
TRADA has reached agreement with the Construction Products Association (CPA) to publish its quarterly Construction Industry Forecasts in the members only area of the TRADA website.
The CPA represents the UK's manufacturers and suppliers of construction products, components and fittings. The products sector has an annual turnover of more than £40 billion and accounts for 40% of total construction output.
The forecasts provide an analysis of the changing pressures and influences facing the construction industry and their implications for construction activity over the next five years. They contain detailed output projections for 27 sectors and categories of construction activity up to 2009, including: private housing (new and RM&I), factories, warehousing, offices, shops, entertainment facilities, roads, rail and social housing (new and RM&I). This is combined with an assessment of longer term industry prospects to 2011.The forecasts are published twice a year and are supported by separate in-depth analysis of trends and prospects for particular construction market segments.
TRADA Head of Marketing & Information Services Jeremy Vibert said, ‘We are constantly reviewing opportunities to add value for members and to respond to their demand for information. The CPA forecast are an invaluable business planning tool. TRADA members have been able to access them before now but the convenience of having them on the website will be welcomed as an additional benefit of TRADA membership.'
