Action Sustainability in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Design and Remade South-East is organising a forum to put suppliers of sustainable products and services directly in contact with major UK buyers. The event, entitled Sustainable Supply Chains 'Meet the Buyers' takes place on 7th July 2009 at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton.
The event will mark the launch of a three-year project, ‘Sustainable Supply Chains through Innovation' (SUSCIN), which has been funded through the South-east England Development Agency (SEEDA) and attendance will be free of charge. It is envisaged that SUSCIN will run for three years to provide further events, training courses and other supporting activities to help organisations in the South-east to embed sustainable procurement and sustainable design/innovation practices into their everyday working.
Suppliers may hold up to eight pre-arranged, face-to-face sales meetings with buyers of their choice at no cost. Attending buyers who are all actively looking to discover new suppliers of sustainable products and services include, among others:
Bruce Shaw / M&S
Bam Nuttall Ltd
East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust
Elite Hotels

IESE / Hampshire County Council
Interserve FM
