TRADA works closely with members to set up Ecobuild tours
TRADA is working closely with members who are exhibiting at Ecobuild 2012 to devise a ‘Timber tours' programme to highlight the latest innovations in timber and timber-related products. TRADA Technology specialists will provide an informed commentary on some of the technical and regulatory drivers behind them. The timetable will be finalised early next month.
More than 160 visitors booked onto TRADA's Timber Tours last year. TRADA Membership & Marketing Manager Rupert Scott said, ‘The tours will focus on a range of new products, processes and innovations, and, if 2011 is anything to go by, on some of the most exciting structures at the show.' Each delegate will have a headset, to be able to concentrate on the guide and there will be the opportunity to follow up with key contacts afterwards.
The tours will run hourly on each day of the show and are free of charge to all visitors. Spaces, however, will be limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. To indicate your interest, please email .
TRADA will again have an imposing presence at Ecobuild 2012, with a stand area of more than 80m2, featuring the winning entry in the Timbmet -sponsored competition for students of architecture at Oxford Brookes University to design a demountable timber pavilion. The pavilion, to be constructed of birch plywood, will have a footprint of 4m x 5m with room to house models and drawings of all the short-listed entries. The winner was Stephanie Lewis.
Ecobuild 2012 will take place at London's ExCel from 20th - 22nd March. For more information click here.
