TRADA expands and enhances suppliers’ directory
TRADA has further invested in its website with major improvements to the suppliers' directory and to the search system.
According to Head of Marketing and Information Jeremy Vibert, TRADA members will benefit from changes to the suppliers' directory, which has been enhanced to help members become more visible in the market and gain more referrals from the website. And for the first time professional services have been added, such as those provided by architects and engineers. ‘This is a brand new membership benefit for our Professional members,' he stressed.
The improvements include:
- Much easier navigation, including ability to sort lists of companies by relevance, alphabetically and by county.
- More information about member companies, including description, logo, location maps.
- Members can now upload their brochures in PDF format into the directory. As well as being downloadable by potential customers, this information is indexed by the site search and web search engines, greatly improving supplier visibility.
Furthermore, members and all other website users will benefit from the changes to the search system. Mr Vibert explained: ‘Now the same algorithm works across all areas of the site, which is a major technical advance. An added benefit is that search results are now categorised, so searching for a term enables results to be quickly filtered to documents in the directory, bookshop, technical information, case studies, construction briefings, news, species data and so on. This will save time, as well as being more thorough.'
Members should ensure that their directory entries are up-to-date to take full advantage of the enhancements, details of which will follow shortly.
