Wood Awards short list revealed
The short list for the 2010 Wood Awards has been announced for all categories, including commercial & public access, structural, private/ best small project, conservation/restoration and furniture. Relaunched seven years ago, the annual event has made an impact on the architectural and design landscape as a ‘mark of excellence' in timber.
Past winners include Glenn Howells for the Savill Building, Simon Conder for Pinion's Barn, BDP for the New Shetland Museum & Archives and most recently Dixon Jones for King's Place.
Judges comprise high profile architects, engineers, wood specialists and leading architectural journalists. As a long-standing sponsor, TRADA is proud to support the over-arching aim of the awards, ‘to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation in wood'.
