Members welcome upgraded timberWISE CD Rom service
TRADA members have welcomed the upgraded and revised version of the timberWISE CD Rom service. Heavily discounted for them, it contains more than 60 electronic Wood Information Sheets and now includes all the Construction Briefings issued to date, providing a succinct interpretation of the building regulations and codes and their impact on the timber industry.
Head of Marketing & Information Services Jeremy Vibert said, ‘In practical terms electronic material is more portable than the loose-leaf binders and we have added functionality to ensure ease of use.' The revised version offers improved search and browse features based on Adobe Reader, allowing subscribers to search by title, category or reference code using expanded menus.
TRADA's Construction Briefings, launched two years ago, cover changes to the Building Regulations for England and Wales, Scotland and N Ireland, as well as relevant codes and standards such as the Code for Sustainable Homes, the Green Guide and PassivHaus. This information, too, is fully searchable.
Members will be offered the new timberWISE 3.01 Version at a discounted rate when they join TRADA, but it may be purchased through the website at any time. Cost to non-members is £235.00 + VAT and to TRADA members as follows:
Sole practitioners £65.00 + VAT
Small, medium & large practices £85.00 + VAT
Bands A - C £85.00 + VAT
Bands D - H £150.00 + VAT
Licensees will receive 2 - 3 updates a year as Wood Information Sheets or Construction Briefings are added or revised. Existing subscribers will receive the upgraded version as soon as it is available.
