Timber in large structures is the theme of the forthcoming ‘TRADA in the Regions' seminar, to take place in Warrington on 8th September. TRADA members are offered one free place.
The venue is the Fir Grove Hotel, easy to access from J20 of the M6. Delegates may arrive from 5.30pm onwards. A buffet dinner will be served after the presentation.
The speaker will be Hugh Mansfield-Williams, Technical Manager of the Engineering & Product Services Division of TRADA Technology Ltd. He will address the challenges of large structures specifically looking at:
Engineered wood products
Making connections work
Detailing for durability
Combining timber with other materials
The informative ‘In the Regions' evenings have provided invaluable networking opportunities for architects, engineers, contractors, joinery companies, timber traders, merchants and manufacturers with a common interest in timber. CPD certificates will be available on request.
There will be a small exhibition of timber-based building products and services, open throughout the evening alongside the seminar. To view sponsorship opportunities click here or contact Louise Govier (see below).
