New Titles Added to the TRADA Bookshop

 The TRADA Bookshop has added more titles to the ever its expanding range already listed.  Maintaining its position as a one stop shop for timber and construction publications, new titles by other publishing houses have been added to compliment TRADA's own publications relating to timber construction.

 

Many new books have been added over the past two months, including: Health and safety in construction published by Butterworth Heineman, covering specific challenges faced by the construction industry as well as the basics of occupational safety and health in general.  The dictionary of architecture and building construction by the Architectural Press, with more then 20,000 words and terms individually defined, this dictionary offers huge coverage for anyone studying or working in architecture, construction or any of the built environment fields.  Superb cabins by Links International, illustrated with full colour photographs, this publication includes explanations of each project by the architect themselves, including case studies of timber cabins from all around the world.  Introduction to AutoCAD by Newnes, provides a practical, structured course of work matched to the latest release of AutoCAD.   Introducing first principles and the creation of 2Dtechnical drawings, then going on to demonstrate the construction of 3D solid and surface model drawings and rendering.  Hemp lime construction by BRE Press, hemp lime is a composite construction material that can be used for walls, insulation for roofs and floors and as part of timber-framed buildings.  This guide is the output from a Defra-funded study commissioned by the National Non-Food Crops Centre.  Staircases by Links International, this book is designed to be a valuable source of technical and inspirational information on the selection and design of staircases for architects and building professionals.  Green Building Bibles, Volumes 1 & 2, 4th editions, the first volume covering essential information to make your home and buildings less harmful to the environment, the community and your family.  The second volume is a technical companion to the first, with in depth technical information and data on the strategies and the systems needed to create low energy, green buildings.  Sustainable Design by John Wiley and sons, sets forth the scientific principles underlying the need for sustainable design, explaining the hows and whys of green engineering and guidance on sustainable design decisions.
