FAQs

Can I cut strength graded timber?

Strength graded timber can be cross cut (i.e. not reducing the cross section of the piece) without having to re-grade either of the resulting pieces. If the grading has been carried out before processing (i.e. before reducing the cross section) then there are limits to the reductions that can be made without having to re-grade the piece. The guidelines are in the standards.
