FAQs

My timber is not stamped - how can I tell if it has been graded?

The grading standards require that each piece of graded timber is clearly marked with certain information. This information includes amongst others, the strength class, name or identifying mark or grader and/or producer, the grading standard, certification body, strength grade and species.

A customer may ask for marking to be omitted for aesthetic reasons. In such situations each batch of timber has to be accompanied by a commercial document bearing all the information required by the standards.
