This pack includes Span tables, 2nd edition and Eurocode 5 Span tables, 3rd edition.

Customers save up to £11.00 when purchasing both editions together in this pack - members save £8.50 plus an extra £2.50 P&P, and non-members save £7.00 plus an extra £2.50 P&P.

Both editions will remain available concurrently as they cover different calculations depending on the system being used. The 2nd edition of Span tables covers calculations to the British Standard BS 5268. With BS 5268 being withdrawn in April 2010 to be superseded by Eurocode 5, the new 3rd edition will cover calculations to Eurocode 5.

Both editions of Span tables contain section sizes and spans for solid timber members in floors, ceilings and roofs (excluding trussed rafter roofs) for dwellings. The calculations apply to buildings up to three storeys in height above ground level. Span tables were originally included in the England and Wales Building Regulations, Approved Document A: Structure and subsequently revised by TRADA.

Tables are included for domestic floor joists, ceiling joists and binders, and rafters and purlins supporting rafters for traditional pitched roofs. Calculations are also given for "canted" purlins supporting roof sheeting or cladding, and for flat roof joists. The tables cover softwood species and grade combinations which satisfy strength classes C16 and C24.

New features in Eurocode 5 Span tables, 3rd edition include:
- Timber specifications to BS EN 1912
- Loads from Eurocode 1 including the National Annex
- New snow loads for the UK.
