There are many books and training products relating to lean manufacturing concepts and practice. However, this training package is likely to be of particular interest for companies in the furniture and the forest products/timber industries, as it has been developed by consultants at ukfirst and FIRA International, who have expertise in these areas.

What is Lean Interactive?
Lean Interactive is an easy-to-use training package for managers who want to make improvements to the efficiency of their production processes. There are three DVDs for companies to use with individual employees or teams, and each is divided into "Teachpoints". In this way training can be delivered at a managed pace, depending on employee requirements or time constraints.

Lean manufacturing (sometimes called "lean thinking") is concept designed to help companies focus on customer value, by
