What is TRADA Technology Assessed?
TRADA Technology Assessed is a new service providing independent assessment of the technical claims made by clients
in their marketing literature. The assessment focuses on whether the client's literature gives a fair representation of the
benefits and characteristics of a product or service.
The benefits
TRADA Technology Assessed provides the following benefits to you and your customers:
- Underlines the credibility and professionalism of your services
- Gives confidence that the technical claims made are based on reliable information sources
- Helps to differentiate your literature from your competitors'
- You can officially use the TRADA Technology Assessed logo on the assessed literature
- You have an official TRADA Technology Assessed licence to show your clients.
The process
Firstly, we document all the technical claims made in the literature and identify all relevant information sources. These
claims may include drawings, photos and tables as well as text evidence of all technical claims, such as test evidence
or product certification. We check the evidence, drawing on specialist expertise within the BM TRADA Group where
required.
We may ask for amendments to the literature and in this instance re-submission is necessary. Only when we are
satisfied that all technical claims within the literature are fair will we issue a licence. This licence lasts for two years and
enables you to use the TRADA Technology Assessed logo on the assessed literature. You must warrant to us annually
that the brochure has not changed for the licence to remain valid, or submit the literature for re-assessment
